As a graduate of one of the top podiatric surgical residency programs in the country, and with over 25 years of surgical experience behind him, Dr. John Castle loves being able to use his background in biomechanics to help people solve their foot pain with conservative solutions. If he can do something as simple as modifying a shoe insole or prescribing orthotics to give his patients relief, he’ll try that first. When a condition is more serious, his advanced training and expertise enable him to perform major reconstructive surgery that greatly improves comfort and mobility. He is passionate about providing every patient with the best possible care, which is immediately evident in the warm and welcoming atmosphere we’ve created in our office.
Following his podiatry residency, which included practicing abroad in England, Dr. Castle spent a year in San Francisco in a four-person practice before moving to Grants Pass in October 1993. Family and the natural beauty of the area drew him to Southern Oregon. He enjoys outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, cycling and fishing with his wife and four children. He also is a classic car enthusiast who has recently completed working on a classic Camaro with his son. You may see him cruising down the streets of Grants Pass in his ’62 Corvette during our Back to the Fifties Celebration.
Dr. Castle has been a partner of AllCare Health since 1994 and is one of its founding physicians. He is also a founding partner of Grants Pass Surgery Center.
